mmmm massage

Wow, writing while the day still is!

Had a good meeting with a client, submitted some invoices, so we should be getting some money soon! Then L took us out to coffee, saw a couple other friends at Rev's. (It's inevitable!)

Came home for lunch, then had a massage at 2pm. So good, so needed! I still feel all melty nice. Then helped at the gallery for a bit to get ready for the big sale.

Had two semi run-in's with the big guest of honor in town for the weekend. He was outside Rev's with a gang of about 8 guys all wearing black peacoats. City boys looking so out of place somehow, hehe. Then he came over to the house were I was getting a massage to try out some guitars, so I could hear him downstairs, but he left just as my massage ended. It's probably better, I was all greasy and massage face cushion smushed face. hehe. I don't know that I'll go to the concert tomorrow. Expensive. I needed the massage more. And we may not be done with our Bourne marathon anyway.

Volunteered for a show. Collaborative concert, everyone does a song from the theme. Trying to figure out if I should play the song on my uke or on the guitar. Tricksy chords either way. Wish I had a better uke. The pinkness is cute, but the quality of the thing is crap, and it's SOOOOOOO tiny, kinda hard to play... Performance is Dec 26, so I guess I'd have 25 days to practice once I get home. I should get the song on my iPod and learn the words at least while on my trip... Performing all by myself!! Eek!! Unless they put some people with me, which would be ok. But it's also a good solo song. hrm. We'll see what happens. I hope I would have time to practice it with my music teacher, she is going away in December. Wish I'd known about this before, I would have rather practiced this than for back up on the next show! oh well. I think I have enough time, and if I suck they will just cut it.

We've been surviving with practically nothing in the fridge the past few days. We don't really want to shop much before being gone for two weeks, and I DO want to try and clean the fridge before putting more stuff in, it's all gross. Sigh.
