oh baby, oh baby!

I think I got my comments back to working! w00t! And if all is well the old comments should be intact, despite blogspeak going out of existence... I still marvel at when I get something right with this webby stuff.

My birthday party was a success! I had it yesterday, even though my birthday is tomorrow, cuz who can come out on Monday? I was so pleasantly surprised when all the 141 guys showed up, and not only that, with present, flowers and car in hand! How impressive is that? guys who I haven't seen much of in the past year really, not only come, but actually gave a bit of thought to it? And I was really wanting flowers too! yay!

I'm also quite happy because I did get to sit and chat with a few people at least, and I was dressed when they came, and we pretty much had enough of everything to eat. and I made myself a chocolate angelfood cake. That was good for me to do, (even though in retrospect I might have preferred the white with raspberries again - taste wise) because I was in the store thinking about how I wanted a chocolate/coffee-ish cake, and I didn't want to make a white cake just because some people can't eat chocolate, and it was MY birthday and I was doing all the work, and if I wanted a chocolate cake I should be able to have one!!! So I did! hah. I DID however buy a box mix for a white cake as a compromise, and so had two cakes, which was good, because there wasn't much left over.

G pointed out to me at sometime before my party that many people who have parties buy a cake and some ice cream and some sodas. Oh yeah.... But I LIKE feeding people, and cooking, etc. heh heh heh. It was good to put it in perspective for me though. My yummy punch turned out purple! How exciting! I had no idea it would do that - 2 cans of crushed pineapple blended with a bottle of coconut juice, raspberry juice, and mango spritzer! With frozen raspberries floating in it. Inspired by the Mango Colada with Raspberries - the John Greg way - of juice bar days! YUM YUM! and it was truely purple! I think cuz there was grape juice in with the raspberry...

I got my birthday book going, I've had the thing since I was 16. Missed a few years, but that's ok. 25. crazy. I do like looking back and seeing the different types of things people write.

yes, I was really touched and happy by all the people who came! We also had nearly all the improv troupe (except Kevin), and Tyler reminded me that I had mentioned playing improv games in my Evite, and I'm so glad he did, because we played a few games for everyone. The 'audience' was about as big as the ones we ever get at campus, but a slightly older crowd. I think they liked it, and I hope it inspires some of them to come check us out at a performance sometime. If not, at least they got a glimpse of what is going on in my life lately. And people made me nice wishes. One tiny glitchy spot - when mom sang my birthday song there was a line about never loving someone as much as me, and Collin was there and got a bit pouty... oops! But mom talked about how one of her greatest fears right before Tommy was born was that she wouldn't be able to love him as much as me, but her heart burst open even more! so when Collin came, she knew there wouldn't be a problem... I hope he got that she really means that... He played some games with us too, glad he stuck around for that.

apparently whatever my car was doing wasn't enough to get charged for it, because he said "I'll take care of it" when I went to pay him... (Although I'm 90% sure that my Avril CD and my CD-cassette adapter were taken out of my car while it was there... I can't find them, and I don't think I took them out... but my dad got me at new tape thing for my b-day note to self:NEVER leave the damn thing in an unlocked car again.[it's the second one that has been stolen])I think it's still doing the fluttery noise, but only when I go fairly fast... and I think the rattle thing only happened once or twice on the way to KC. This Thursday will be my last! And then I'm going to Colombia. holy shmoe! It's happening way too fast. I have way too much work to catch up on! blargh

Dave is taking the position at Genetic ID. So he and Erin will be moving down here after they get married! w00t! Girl time! How exciting! I wonder how much longer I will be here though? Jennie wants to go back to LA, and Nola called me asking about LA too a few days ago. We shall see, we shall see. I wish I had a clear idea in my head of what I wanted to do with my life, but I don't really. I think I've gotten stuck in the whole rat race of making enough money to survive, but that obviously isn't working out too well, seeing as I have so much debt... argh. In any case, G has more school, so I guess we are waiting that out at least...

Shout out to G playing chess right beside me! hee hee. Tommy's laptop is up here next to the desktop... G solved the un-deletable porn files problem that Tommy was saying he'd have to re-install all sorts of crazy things to get rid of... I guess the c drive was really full, and my mom was trying to clear stuff off and found it... poor Tommo, rather embarrassed and trying to come up with a way around it, totally denying that he was responsible for it too... I finally asked him straight up if it was porn files he was trying to get rid of, and he starts shouting about yes, but he was trying to keep it quiet because everyone was making such a big fuss and they just got there automatically and he didn't know it was going to happen, etc. I tried to point out that HE was the one screaming, but you know... le sigh. gone now.

Alrighty then!
