Printer madness

(ok so I'm writing this 2 days later, but it's about Friday, so there)
mom missed her plane because she left her photo id at home. Had to come all the way back to get it. madness.

so both brochures FINALLY at the printers

I told Rachel my sob story, she pulled some major strings and got the YELLOW GUIDE printed out and folded by 5:00 today. wow. No complaints people. If you didn't get me the info, you didn't get me the info.

Went to the appreciation for ArtWalk people party at Mayor Malloy's house. Felt a bit young and fake. Always feel fake when I go to an expensive house and try to look nice. ("She's wearing a skirt from Wal-Mart!!! Out with ye!" alarms, warning bells etc.) I think I did my duty of introducing myself and putting names to faces of some of the people who have been emailing etc. Well done me. I think I hate parties. Good food. did a pretty good job of leaning towards the fruits and veggies. (VERY good strawberries!) Went to the bathroom on purpose when I could have waited for several reasons 1)to make a semi graceful exit from the end of a conversation 2) to stretch out my time actually being there 3) to get a tiny peek at the inside of the mansion house! My goodness. Very classy! Huge bouquet of real flowers in the entry, matching wallpaper, accessories and towels in the bathroom. The funny thing to me was - obviously you weren't supposed to use the hand towels. Decorative purposes only. There was a stack of pretty floral decorated napkins on the edge of the sink instead of paper towels or something. Fascinating. Bizarre. I wonder if the house is always so immaculate and they always have fresh flowers?

After I felt I had done my time, I picked up the YG's from Deena's car, and went to the end of the awards ceremony at MUM. cheeze. snooze. I went to the bathroom and ended up strolling the halls of what was my lower school, but I think is the girls school now for all ages... strange memories, little differences. Saw Ann Erwin. She's all cute and skinny, thinking of coming back here and finding a nanny job or something.

Farmers Market tomorrow!
