Yeah, so our improv camp starts tomorrow. We just made up a lesson plan, and Kevin is going to go call some people and try to recruit/pin them down... Strange, even of the people I knew on the list of our potentials, none of them called me... oh well. Kevin just actually knows more young persons, which makes sense, him being a teacher and all. People totally know about it, they see me and are like "I saw your poster/article/ad!!! What a great picture!" and I'm like, "Great, sign up now!" Sigh. We'll see what happens. It would be good if we actually made a little money off it for the time we'll be putting in, but yeah.... Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. I made $26.25 on my bracelets this weekend! Nancy Schill even called me up ("I saw your number on the improv poster!") to ask for one more set and came by moms to pick it up! Far out. I don't know if I'll do that well every weekend, but hey - it's fun, and turning the beads I already have into cash is a good thing. Of course I'm getting to the point where I DO actually need to buy a few extra bits to finish things off, but in general it's stuff I already have... Wheeeeee! I'm thinking I'm going to need to start including some baked goods in my deal, because people need food everyweek, but they don't always need jewelry.... Mom wrapped up some of her soaps too, and will give us 50 cents of each $2.50, so that can help go towards the table. yay.
Been taking care of Toni's pets, and she said I could help take down the wallpaper in the dining room for $10/hr. Totally fun! How often do you get to tear up a room like that, and get paid for it rather than charged?! I guess remodelers get to do it all the time... Anyway. I did about 2hrs. Good stuff.
Gonna help Jewel out at a concert tonight, so I can ask her about our classes then. Good stuff.
FINALLY got my taxes done last night. Mom helped me all afternoon, with a mini break to go back to my place and pick up my day-planner for driving dates, etc. It was a pain in the ass to find and break down all the things, but I ended up getting back like $30 more than I would have with out it I think... good deal.
G and I have new phones. Noah came back and transfered responsibility to me, and then I put G on my plan. Need to send in the rebates for the new phones. Fun little toys though. It'll prolly take us a little time to figure out how we really use them and all that, but the unlimited call-me minutes are going to be GREAT I think, as far as using it as a contact # for all my jobs... Just not used to not having my free weekend minutes... hrm. It should work out though...
I'm really frustrated with the changes happening with the new committee taking over the ArtWalk. So much hard work I put in, and they seem to want to flush it down the toilet... sigh. I just hope they see sense before anything sad happens to the ArtWalk. Hopefully it is strong enough to survive craziness while they figure things out....
