Hooray!

Gilberto gave me a ring last night!  I'm so excited,
and very happy with it. :)  It's a pretty bezel cut
(round) set in white gold.  We had gone to pick it out
together last Friday, but it wasn't supposed to be
ready till this Saturday, so I wasn't expecting it at
all!

He was making caramel at my apartment and I was about
to go over to the open mic after making dinner for my
brothers.  I called him to tell him I was going, and
he said I should stop by to say hi first.  Not
suspecting anything, I went over.  One of my friends
called from the open mic saying that she was waiting
for me.  When she hung up I notice a pink gift bag
sitting by my bed and I asked G what was in it,
expecting it to be candy or something.  G told me to
close my eyes, and then open them - he had a flower
and the ring in its open box.  He said "Do you still
want to marry me?"  and I said "Of course!"

Hooray! 

The wedding will be July 16th, and you all are of
course invited!
