And that my friends, is why I always watch the credits!!

heh heh heh. No, I'm not vain or anything. ahem...

Anyway, went to see the Retreat tonight, and it was really good. What I'm referring to is that my name was in the credits at the end, because I gave them like $15 towards producing the movie. Collin was in there too at the end, some special thanks. That was cool. I was actually surprised that there weren't more names, but I guess it WAS quite a few.

Elizabeth Estey (sp?!) ended up getting the part I tried out for. She was really good, really natural. I still think it would be cool to be in one of their movies someday... In any case it REALLY gives me the itch to be part of something big and creative. Le sigh.

Good movie, good script, a lot more polished than their previous ones, and somehow it seemed a bit more universal, less inside jokes, which is good because they are planning on using it sort of as a demo to shop around with their script for a full length they want to make next. While there were plenty of inside jokes and things that our audience laughed at, just because we knew the actors or the location or whatnot, these searching type of people are prevalent enough these days that I'm sure a lot of people will get the character and his story. They used the same cameras that George Lucas used for the last three Star Wars, and edited with Final Cut pro, go Mac! I wish them all luck at the film festivals!

David gave me a copy of his CD as a Christmas present. Pretty cool stuff, all improv! Nice. Those guys are tight! Stacy gave me some rubber stamps, and the pretty turquoise color eye shadow I've been wanting(but never mentioned, she just knew it!), and some bath salts, ha ha! It'll be a little funny to give her the bath salts of my present tomorrow! grin.

Tasty dinner at Chris' new place plus Ren and Stimpy, little bit of Spongebob and The Office, all before the guy's movie. And Jerry at the party said he liked my song at the Christmas party, which was really nice. You know it made an impression if he still bothers to bring it up out of context that far from the actual occurance. Pretty good evening all in all. yay. Only bummer was I missed Brooke. She said she was going to try to go to the movie tonight and Anne's concert tomorrow, but I didn't see her at the movie. So I don't know if she couldn't get a ticket or if she got the days mixed up. poopy. I'd love to see her a bit one on one before she leaves... sigh.

Another late night, the loot list will have to wait for tomorrow. :)
