Almost Time...

Gilberto is getting ready to go tomorrow morning.  I'll be by myself for a few days, pout.  It's funny, a bunch of my married girlfriends have all had or still have some time away from their husbands in the last week or so, whether for a few days or a few weeks, something is in the stars!

We had a little Valentine's celebration dinner at home tonight since he won't be here tomorrow.  Couscous and veggie burgers and mango juice mixed with ginger ale in our fancy glasses.  Heehee.  I also bought a mango cheesecake from Everybody's and put our wedding cake topper on it.  I put it on our cake plate and had a rose and most of our candles all around it for when he got home, so that was a nice little surprise, even though he had to go back out and do some errands, when he came back and we had dinner we lit all the candles again, so that was fun.  He brought me 6 red roses, one for each month we've been married!  I was a little worried and sad because people at work were starting to get Valentines stuff already today, and when would he have time to get me anything since he's leaving so early tomorrow?  Yes, I'm a sap, but after so many years of nada in high school and college, I feel a little entitled. (blush)

Found a pretty white dress I can wear to the reception down there, so I can relax a little.  I was panicky and depressed (including a total meltdown) for much of the weekend worrying about what to wear and the fact that at my current size it's harder for me to find as much that fits, and it's all my own fault and blah blah blah.  But even if my original dress DID fit right now (it's close, but just enough too small that I'm not comfortable in it) it would be a freaking hassle to bring down (think - an entire suitcase)  AND it would be REALLY hot to wear all day, so I think this is a better choice.  Still looks wedding-y though, as I was walking into the dressing room, I passed by some random lady getting ready to try on clothes there and she said "That looks like it could be a wedding dress!" and I said, "Yeah, maybe!"  heh heh.

Trying hard to wrap things up at work, seems never-ending, but I think I'll get pretty close to finishing most, if not everything I'm supposed to get done before leaving.  Some stuff can wait till I get back.  It's kind of crazy madness around there now for everyone else too, trying to get ready for a big update thing, so lots of running around tying up loose ends.  hectic atmosphere.  woof.  I'm SO ready for a break!!
