nice

I'm listening to a remix of Rachael Yamagata's Worn Me Down, and damn if I don't like it a LOT.

Open mic was PACKED tonight. They brought the work visitors out to it, glad it was a good night for them to come. I mean, it's still open mic so it's not polished, but I think they had an ok/good time. My creativity was bragged about, which was slightly embarrassing, and slightly flattering and made me feel like I should produce something to prove it. Unfortunately I was not prepared to sing anything, so I couldn't comply with any requests from the visitors to perform on stage. They liked my table art though, and I talked up the ArtWalk and such, so I think I did a good job of making nice impressions. They were nice and talkative. Good stuff.

Trying to figure out how to show my photos at the Artwalk. Printed off some nice ones of Colombia from my computer on my printer, and they turned out pretty ok. w00t. but yeah... frames? mats? for next to nothing? argh. Huh. If they would fit in Tommy's frames maybe I could borrow them...

Some people have blogs that are so well written. Some people get up and perform at open mic all the time, even if it's the same songs, or they just learned it out in the hall. Some people have lots of money and equipment to professionally finish off their creative endeavors for display. Some people have the discipline to exercise and eat right and therefore look cute in pictures. Some people manage to get into work at a reasonable hour and therefore have a decent amount of time to enjoy their evening and still get to bed at a reasonable hour. Some people are feeling slightly bitter right now and should have been in bed a long time ago.
