Experimenting

Well, I haven't been songwriting lately, but I've been doing lots of experimenting with GarageBand, using the pre-made loops and making little songs a minute or less that my brother can use for his improv clips (my clip is in the game called Quadrants, not the intro one) or that I can use for my other latest experiment of video blogs... It makes me wish I had a midi keyboard and knew how to play it, heh heh. Collin was encouraging me to at least try playing along with my guitar to make new loopy things, saying I'll only get better if I practice. Too true. So maybe that'll come soon.

I just figure I better do SOMETHING musical and creative to keep the juices flowing. And I think that even by putting clips together to make songs, I must be learning/processing stuff about song structures and such. so yeah. that's what I've been up to lately on the creative side of things.

I just discovered The Ditty Bops last night. Sent an email to their tour manager suggesting he check out Cafe Paradiso as a potential concert place, and he wrote back saying he'd check it out! So we'll see what happens. w00t.
