Ah, California.

Well, it's rained, drizzled or misted pretty much the whole time we've been here, but hey, beats the snow!

It's such a short trip, happening faster than I can process really, and then it'll be back to work before I have time to breath. drats... and tired, all wonked out on the time change, waking up at 5 am and such, and yet staying up late, late, late.

Wondering if any pieces of my song that I started 2-3 years ago after a trip here will come out of this trip as well?

Super speedy summary:

Friday was San Fran with Jyoti. Train, Civic Center statues, Jyoti's apt, Rain, Bus, Sushi, Walking, Bus, Golden Gate Bridge, Rain, Bus, Ghiradelli Square, bit of Fisherman's Warf, Walking, Bus though China Town, taking touristy photos all along the way.

Spent some time with tiny cousin Maggie today. Cute little bundle of energy! Palo Alto Junior Museum. Meet Cousin Brett for the first time. Dropped Maggie off and saw the house. come back to Nana's for sandwiches, Drove around Stanford a bit, stopped in at Fry's, as is the tradition with our techie geek family, got some toys for my iPod. Had big family party/late birthday gathering for Nana this evening.

Alright, more later I suppose...

cold makes me cranky.

I should be at the gym, but my iPod is dead, and my shoes and water bottle have been in the car for a week, so I assume both are FROZEN. grah.

Oh, ok. I'll just deal.

but I won't be happy about it. so there. >:-P

well, huh

Yeah, so after some experimenting with the cord of the iPod we got for G's sister, it turns out my cord is fine too... but it took some turning off and on of the computer and plugging and unplugging things in different combinations. bizzar-o. Glad I don't have to spend $20 for a new cord though! phew.

Oh! I won tickets to see Arthur Lee Land tonight at the Old Armory! KRUU was giving away tickets to anyone who came to the station in costume. I was going into Wal-mart at the time, but they still hadn't found anyone by the time I came out, so I rushed home and put on my Marimonda outfit, went to the station and tried knocking on the door, but of course they can't hear me thru the sound proof double door! :) So I stare intently in the window, and the guy finally sees me and jumps cuz I startled him! hehehe. then I got on air and said hi to Fairfield and explained that my costume was a traditional character from Carnival in Colombia. :) and I didn't have to pay for my tix! w00t!

and on the subject of tasty (see vlog below)... have you seen the new iPods? YUMMY! Plus there's this new cool thing with iTunes where you can browse by album cover. It's like being the robot inside the jukebox or something. hahaha. Loves it.
