You never count your money when you're sitting at the table....

That's right ladies and gents - POKER NIGHT.

And it was the last Tuesday of the month, so it was pay night too. I walked away with my original $20 ($5 per night) plus $1.75 or so. So much for my grand ideas of having a bunch of money to spend on cookie ingredients for a future poker night. I did OK that one night. Not so hot the night we played the different games besides Texas. and then Ben came tonight. and I lost a lot. I was actually getting pissy, because he'd make these huge bets (yes, 50 cents or a dollar is a lot for our table) and before any of the cards were even on the table, and how was I supposed to know if it was worth staying in at that point? And sometimes he was hugely bluffing! gah! But then other times he had really good hands. suck. No one would go up against him... Anyway, I was down to 80 cents, Josh and Ben had bet something big, and AK went all in with like $1.80. I decided to go all in too, so all the cards went up, no more bets, and I had the highest cards! Phew! I really needed that hand. And then Ben said he could give me a ride, but walked out while Josh was still figuring out the winnings of people, and I was really confused! But then he called Tiffany to say he was waiting for me outside. He'd gone out to clear off the front seat. I was glad, cuz I really didn't want to walk home, and no one else seemed ready to go. Street Fighter 4 or something. I actually like that game. Martial arts stuff seems much more fun than guns... Anyway, lucky me, I got rides both ways! (dad dropped me off)

Mom says there is supposed to be a deep freeze tonight. It's only been October for 27 minutes! Deep freeze isn't supposed to come for another 2 weeks! Brrrrr! I hate it! I really need a car!

But I totally lucked out! Toni needs someone to take care of their animals for the weekend, and since she doesn't have much cash, she wanted to do it in exchange for using her car, and she said I could drive it to Kansas City! So that solves one week at least. And I think if I get there and meet the other people, it might be easier to figure stuff out as far as future rides. I'm such an utter nutcase, I can't believe I'm doing this! Totally unreasonable! ;) Seems like my schedule is filling up fast though, with all these part time flexible things. Now my dad needs someone too. geez. I wonder how much more WDC needs me, if they are outsourcing the postcards from now on? Should I shift over to Dad's? Can I juggle 3?! Ack! I'll have to see what sort of stuff he needs me to do, and if it would drive me crazy or what. MONEY! LOTS! GIMMIE!

Lucia and I decided it was a walk to coffee morning, and we picked up Kail along the way. We tried throwing rocks at her third floor attic window, but my aim is crap, and Lucia didn't even try.... So we just sorta stood there talking, and the window was open, and she heard us! Who hoo! Theo Bowen sat with us in Amoco. He cracks me up and fascinates me at the same time. His brain just works in a different way than the rest of us. Brilliant, but sometimes a little hard to follow...

So Collin locked up his computer against anyone using it without the password. Weasel. Now if mom is using the upstairs computer I have nowhere to check my email. He SAID he wasn't mad at me, but I'm not quite sure I can believe him. Oh well. I hope we can work it out in a better way someday than the headshake and dismissal waving I got when I went down to talk about it....

Why do I have to like embarrassing music? I think Hillary Duff is great. And she's what, 13 or something? It's PURE cHeeZe! I know this. I do. I can't help it. Makes me happy. Like chocolate. for my ears. My only consolation is that I like quality stuff too.
