yay flake.

(as in flake out and use another email post. see excuse at bottom of letter. had a good time with my cousin today. Glad to have her with me for my adventures, and I think she had a good time getting out of the house and away from the normal things that remind her about Dan.)

I managed to order my bridesmaid dress today! Hope it makes it in time, as there are exactly 12 weeks to the wedding....

I went to Ames to watch my little brother in his All-State performance of his mime. He did a great job! Then I called the DB in Des Moines and a semi cranky lady said they were all booked up for the day, and I couldn't come. My cousin said we should just go anyway, so when we got there we found the pieces ourselves in a few sizes and I asked if I could try them on. There WAS a dressing room open the very moment I asked for one. That lady was the only nice lady in the store. Everyone else was hassled, apathetic, tired, cranky, not very helpful and even a bit discouraging. Granted, they were swamped, but you'd think they could at least try to be nice. I really hope it makes it in soon, because I'd definitely need alterations to the top, although the skirt fit perfectly, and my shoes were just the right height for it I think!

I talked with Soma, she has a new cell phone, but was in the process of changing the number to one local to Iowa City.... She said she'll post it up when she gets it finalized. She's experiencing some financial difficulty and doesn't think she can afford the dress, and now I wonder if she would even have time to order it.... :(

She's also trying to figure out how she can afford to get there and is thinking of maybe bus if I fly.... right now there are tickets on Travelocity for $189 for May 20-23(all taxes included, They didn't have flights available on Sunday) from Cedar Rapids to Detroit. (DTT Erin?) Just looking at busses $118round-trip for 7 day advance purchase....between an 11-15hr bus ride.

Nothing is locked in stone, but I much prefer flying. too tired to think now.... been up since 5:30am, and tis now amost 3am of the next day.
