Went to the Irish night at Cafe Paradiso. (if you ask me they could at least bother to put up some contact info and a tagline, and then "more coming soon" instead of just the picture...)
Good stuff. Fun to see the little Irish Dancer's feetsies, because I couldn't see them at Toni's thing, being back with the refreshments and all that. Tim rocked as usual, and Border Lord did great stuff too. Rick was a bit goofy though. heh. There was wine and Guinness, which was a bit strange for a "ru" gathering, and Kail and I were laughing at the empty Vata tea cups and Guinness cans all on the same table. Sat in the front row by myself for the first set, then moved back with Mikaila, Mr. Maidment, Matt M, Hillary and Justin for the second half. G showed up in time for the second half, and managed to sit behind me and eventually next to me as people left for the night. Ananda and Jyoti came too and the 4 of us hung out on the floating bed thing afterwards for a bit. Nandi and G get soooo silly! Ananda was in full Irish getup as per usual on St. Pat's. Well, not full I guess, she left her hat in the car....
Athena is here for her spring break, just a short one, and Sarah is coming on Saturday. Hope we can finagle a movie night on Sunday while they are both here :D
watched 2 good movies in the past 2 days - Pieces of April and Under the Tuscan Sun. I did like them both, although the second is more of the feel good, not-much-brainer, creative and romantic idea inspiring for me.... yay cheeze. pretty cheeze. and ladybugs! I like the idea of how they built a train track in the Swiss alps, before a train even existed that could make the trip. but they laid the track because they knew it would come someday.... hrm.... good idea...
