huh?

Wait, so how did April happen already? Yipezers! I keep planning to update, but too much else has been going on I guess.

Well, wedding planning is in full swing, with all the excitement and stress and freakouts and fun that goes with it. My incredibly organized mom has everything all set out in spreadsheets and such, which takes out some of the overwhelm factor, but it's still a bit scary. Here's a bit of spaz I sent out to my girls:

I stopped by the bridal shops in Ottumwa yesterday,
cuz I was there. Didn't have time to try anything on
because they were closing/needed appointments. They
put a bit of the fear of deadlines for ordering into
me, AND lovely wonderful, just as I was about to leave
one shop, in waltzes a pretty little blonde thing with
her mom, announcing she's a size 6. I totally freaked
out and need to be petted and told I'm pretty and
stuff. waaaaaaahhh!
ok. I'll survive.

On the plus side of that trip, I found a cute dress to wear to my cousin's wedding, and it can double as a rehearsal dinner dress, ( shhhh! don't tell. :D) and I found some other cute t-shirts, and a nice brown jacket for work/spring. I also brought home some stuff I'll be returning, but I wasn't in the state of mind to make decisions by myself, and knew I'd be going back to Ottumwa in the near future. Oh, and the dress comes with a pink cardigan sweater that goes with a bunch of other stuff I have, so double good.

Check out our wedding website:

It's neato and free and stuff. My dad and Gilberto set it up, and I'm able to add content to it and such. Work in progress (aren't all websites?) but at least it has the basics for out of town travelers.

Rachel Ries came back a couple weeks ago. She freakin' rocks. She had a new demo CD with all good songs that weren't on her other one, so now it's like having a whole album pretty much when you put the two together. She remembered me! That was cool. She was like "I remember you, but I don't know your name, or from where..." I told her I came to her other concert, and was at Matt's Birthday party, and then she remembered. She came with a guy named Andru Bemis who was very cool and original (and loud!) anyone who plays the banjo is cool. oh, and Rachel played the banjo for one song too!

Alrighty. Time for vittles...
