Strutting my stuff with Nola, Natural Selections style.

Wow, the fashion show is over, and it was a success! Despite all the glitchy, political backstage and behind the scenes madness, I think the audience had a great time, and *I* had fun, so that's the most important for me, eh? heh heh. It's fun to walk out there all crazy looking and get the people's reactions. Oh lordy, I wonder what sort of flack I'll get from Roy at work on Monday, he was sitting in the front row corner, a very good seat. I remember when Carissa did her own show a few years back and Rosemary came out all glammed up and I totally did not recognize her at all and I was very shocked at how different she was all of a sudden. I don't know if I was that dramatically different, but the rubber tire skirt very well could have been... ha. I'll have to get some photos, wonder if anyone has any good ones of me.
I also wonder if anyone will want to do this next year, after all the madness of this one? Oh well, I don't even want to get into it, it's over and not worth it.
Flapjaw played afterwards, but it was hot, and I was tired, and Jennie, Nola and Kevin ended up coming over to our place. Jennie brought pizza, I made popcorn and iced tea and we watched the SNL 25th anniversary show on DVD until one by one we dropped off to go to bed. I finished it this morning, good stuff.
Kalista is in town, she came down for the fashion show - her knitted hats and scarves were in it. She looks great, and sounds like she's got a great plan to move to San Diego and get started on business plans out there - like a bakery and coffee shop! She and some other people were having breakfast at Everybody's this morning, but I'm not sure I'll make it at the rate I'm going. I'm zonked out really, but was at that "I have to get out of bed" point. Probably do well with a nap or something later.
I'm really excited about the hat I made, and that it got worn in the fashion show! It's a top hat covered in red silk rose petals! Now I just need to make a costume to go with it for Halloween. I feel like there's a bit of pressure this year since Stacy and I tied for first last year at work. Plus last year there was a cash prize! Who knows if it will be the same, but yeah. I have a few ideas, and if I started working on them now, I might have something cool finished by then. Month and a half away. That would be a fun project. We'll see what really happens. :D
I've been feeling like doing something big lately, like writing a movie or something. Not that I know the first thing about that, but it feels like some creativity is bubbling to the surface. Or maybe with my new ibook there will be some neat programs where I can make cool stuff. I think it comes with Garage Band, I'll have to learn about that... Maybe I'll make an album or something? :O heh heh. If only for my own joy of the process.
