We ordered it this morning, a pretty, pretty ibook! I'm also getting a printer that scans/copies and a pink ipod mini for next to nothing after the rebates. w00t! I could have gotten a rebate towards any of the other ipods, but the mini is free, and it's pink. Yes, it's very much a superficial decision, but it's the one I want. So there. Hooray!
Nola just got hers yesterday, which really helped seal the deal, but I've been wanting a laptop since forever, and I really thought it all out and stuff - I just paid off my car to G, so I have that money available to to put towards it. I'm all excited!
The fashion show went really well last night, and I'm sure it's going to be even better tonight since we've had a chance to run through it. Utter madness, not too much commitment, lots of fun.
Helped Goj and Cat move stuff to their new place in the Broadway Building today, and had pizza and hung out with them a little, that was fun. Also got to see more of the Broadway Building than I've ever seen before, the back door, the elevator and the basement. Cat said that rumor is mobsters used to stop off in Fairfield sometimes since they had hideouts in Ottumwa, and that they used to use the basement of the Broadway Building for executions. Eeeps! It certainly is creepy down there! A labyrinth of chicken wire and 2x4 storage places, lots of weird old posters, and tons, just tons of junk. People just throw things in there all mishmosh hodgepodge. Plus there's a pile 'o stuff from people who abandon their storage units...
Well, I better go help decorate for the fashion show. Want to make the outside look cool to help draw people in. I hope we get more people than last night, there was a good amount, but nowhere near full. The band is playing tonight, so hopefully that's a bigger draw too.
