Well, here I am in Nola’s place with Ruby, the attack kitten. She’s zooming around and pouncing on things, including me. I thought it would be nice to hang out and keep her company for a bit, so I brought my comp and I’m writing from here to post from home. We’ll see how long this lasts though. Sharp little kitty claws! Too bad Nols doesn’t get the internet, but on the other hand, if she did we’d probably never see her, ha ha!
The other advantage to being over here, is since I can’t get online, I actually looked around for a word processor, which led me to discover AppleWorks, which looks like it has all sorts of good treats in it. Le sigh, another program to learn... I DO wish that the jpgs would show up as thumbnails when I’m trying to look for one. Kind of a pain in the ass having to open it all the way up to know what it is. Seems like they would have figured that one out, esp if Macs are supposed to be so great for graphics...
Kitty has minimal interest in the paper bag I got out for her to play in, although she did go back into it of her own accord... I’m partially fending her off with a fuzzy turquoise pillow, but that isn’t very successful either...
We got our vacuum finally! Hooray! Well, two vacuums really, an upright and a canister, plus an iron, which I think is supposed to be cordless, but I saw a cord. I guess you do have to plug the cord in somewhere... I have no idea where we are going to keep them, we still have a huge pile of stuff (yes, mostly mine, although mostly wedding wrapping paper I think) in the living room, and we keep aquiring furniture, although I think the footstool is the last of it.
Ok, so I filled up the watering can to try and get kitty a little bit wet when she pounces, but I missed and got it on the floor, and she started DRINKING IT. You utter nutcase! Flicking water at her face doesn’t seem to phase her either. hrm. I seem to remember her jumping in the shower with Nola at one point, so maybe water isn’t effective.
I think it’s time to go fill up the water jugs and see about setting up the printer at home. Next time I’m totally bringing some kitty toys!
