Blogging from Grinnell

So I was just up here yesterday for Catherine's Volleyball game, and then Jennie asked me to come back with her (she has a tech rehearsal) so she'd have some company on the way home. heh heh. At least I'm not driving, and she bought me dinner! What can I say, I'm pretty easy!

Yesterday was fun, got to hang out with Theresa and Elsa, and see Catherine play, even though it was only a few minutes really, and she wasn't happy with how her team did. It's kind of hard to beat the morale of a team where it's their first game in their new building and maybe more people than usual are watching and stuff. The school was throwing T-shirts out to the crowd and frisbees during time outs, and they raffled off a bike and iPod Nano at the end. I yelled a lot and got a t-shirt for Jennie! :)

After the game T, E and I went and had lunch in a little coffee shop in town, and then I drove on to Iowa City, hung out at the Coral Ridge mall for a bit, saw lots of expensive toys and things for my computer and didn't buy any of them... :( met up with Noah and Celeste for Jenna's dance performance, which was really cool. She's the real deal! I always knew that, and I guess I can tell she's more polished and controlled, but I was equally moved by the stuff she did with Lu at home. I think now she has more confidence in herself though. Maybe when I have more brains I'll write more about the performance itself...

Celeste rode home with me so I wouldn't have to drive by myself at night, which was really great cuz I was tired! We talked about theatre stuff and possibilities for speech comp and how they should probably let the program go until/unless they get more interest both from teachers and students. I don't know, but it seems to be petering out. Sad, but no good to beat a dead horse, and so much pressure to make a winning piece... sigh.

I wanted to make Lu a music mix for her drive out. Dunno if that is going to happen, or what format she can even listen to. Don't remember if she has an iPod, tape or CD in her car. Oh well. Ok. I think I better wrap this up for now, I think the rehearsal is going to start.
