Simmering ideas

really half-baked ones ya know? just tickling on the edges of my brain. DH asked me if I'd written any songs lately and I kinda got that hear pinch again, cuz I haven't even touched my guitar in months. Well once. I'm glad he asks, because it calls out to that part of me, reminds it to wake up a little more.

I drew a cast of funny characters on the tablecloth at Paradiso at breakfast on Sunday morning. I meant to rip that part off and take it home and write a story about them, but I forgot. :( I remember that my fave was an Asian looking girl with purply-blue straight, chin length hair. there was also a freaked out guy with a very wobbly mouth, a Dr. Seussian hatted looking one, on with overlong green eyelashes, red lips and and yellow poofy hair of questionable gender, a frightened looking green one with a hat and rather empty eyes. That might have been all of them... Anyway, I'm thinking I have to give myself assignments to get the creative juices flowing, because I don't have teachers to do that anymore, and like I was telling Stacy and David, I'm pretty happy for the most part at the moment, so I don't have that depression/longing oozing out of me, and while I don't buy that you have to be depressed/sad/angry to be creative, it does take some focus. and enough sleep. stupid nasty cycle of it all... bleh.

At least I have my oatmeal all ready to go for the next couple of days. That saves a little time in the mornings.

My phone is a POS!!!! I charged it all night and made one call and it died in the middle saying low battery. I went in to see what I could do and the guy recommended getting a new battery because I have 6 months left to getting a new phone, too long to last on the battery I have, too soon to make getting a new phone worth it. Not to mention who knows in 6 months what the cool new one will be... rar. Ok, so I'll wait. Could be a week for my new battery to come in though, since it's an old POS phone. grrrrrrrrrrah.

Putting lots of my CDs on my computer so I can both transfer them to my iPod and also make neato mixes. I should try one out before getting to into it though, the actual cd burning part... since things don't always work the way I expect them to on this thing. Like stupid yahoo photos, you can't rotate them except in explorer. damn. I hate sideways photos. I'll have to borrow G's comp for that. Seems like most of the annoying things have to do with photos and art. and the mac is supposed to be better for all that right? hrm. ugh. I just don't know how it works yet... sigh
