Did a photo shoot for Jennie and took a million (well, maybe not that many) shots hoping to get a good one. We took some outside, but it started to get too dark and cold, so J called a guy from work who set up some lights for us to take some studio shots. Unfortunately, either it was a little too dark, or G's camera wasn't quite up to it, or I needed a tripod, because most of the studio shots came out blurry... poop. There were some really cute ones too, if they hadn't been blurry, but luckily since we took so many there were some really good ones to choose from. It was totally fun in any case, and we took the lights guy (Jeremy?) out to TJs as a payback, and it was fun to hear their stories from work, going on shoots and stuff.
I got a little frustrated when we got home to print them, both because we discovered so many of them weren't really useable for headshots, and because I was trying to learn a new program on the spot, in front of someone. grah, frustrating! If I had photoshop I'd have been so much faster and known better what I was doing. I'll have to get that. I'm sure I have ways of doing that stuff on here, but learning them is a pain in the arse! Not to mention photoshop is just so powerful, and I know I'll want it for other times too. sigh.
The whole thing was good though, reminded me how much I like photography, and it's pretty brilliant to be shooting digital because you don't have to worry about wasting film or anything, just clicky-click away! w00t! It would be awesome to get a really good digital like Tommy has, with all the cool lenses and stuff. Someday...
