Blogging from 2nd Street Cafe

A new location in my blogging away from home series! wa-hoo.

Just had a wild afternoon with Jyoti and Nola. I met them at 21st Century and we walked over to Michaela and Brian's because Jana was getting her haircut and needed someone to watch Jasmine. Turned out Jasmine wasn't there, but we ALL ended up getting our haircut! It was wild. I got a cute little bob type thing with longish bangs. It sort of has the same flavor as my cut last December. I like it! :D

Jyoti and Nola got some really face flattering layers, sorta subtle, but REALLY pretty. Hooray! We're all cuteness. AND we got to hear the how Brian and Michaela got together, which was fun to hear it from her side, since I heard Brian tell the wedding details at their FF reception. yay.

Now we ended up at 2nd St. all with our computers and I got some soup and a Naked Juice. Nice dinna.

I had a half fasting day yesterday. Went to yoga in the AM and it was amazing. This one pose, I couldn't quite hold it till the end, but while I was I was IN it.
Amazing. and I felt like I broke a fever afterwards, that cold, cleansing sweat. crazy. Then I went to my mom's and made tons of fresh juice, and we made some lentil soup, which I didn't eat until about 5. Then I went to babysit for Colin and ended up eating a veggie burger and grapes and a few other snacky things, cuz it was a long night. He's so amazingly cute, we had good times. After the first 10 minutes of mom separation :) After assuring him repeatedly that mom was coming back, and few offers of grapes and juice, I sat with him on my lap and started describing to him what was going on in the movie and asking him questions about it, and pretty soon he got engaged in that and then we were good! I love how he repeats what you ask him, so it's hard to find out about what he really wants. "Want more burger??" Finally I was like "Colin, if you want more burger, you have to say yes, ok?" "Want more burger yes?" "Ok, we have to wait a few minutes for it to cook." "Few minutes?"

I was also totally impressed with his number skills. We were reading ABC of Trains or something, and we got to N is for numbers and he started counting to 10. Then I asked him if he could point out numbers to me, and asked him, out of order if he could find them on the trains, and he totally got every single one!! He's like 2 and a half maybe? Amazing. Much cuteness.

Alright. Dinner is over and the girls are getting antsy... time to sign off. :)
