Blogging from the Double Tree Club San Diego

Well, I don't have much time because I'd rather be spending it saying goodbye to relatives, but I wanted to get in at least one blog from this swanky hotel! Although I think it's rather silly that we only get free wireless in the lobby. :( AND you have to pay $10 for breakfast that was free at La Quinta in Moline. Well, they do have hot sausage and bacon and eggs, but I don't really eat those things, so no loss there. Oh, and potatoes, but still... Anyway, it's pretty here. Nice winding staircase and tall tree and stuff. The trees all over the place this year are all decorated blue. It's definitely the color.

The wedding was gorgeous. Oh my goodness the church was spectacular. Just beautiful. I hope I can get some pix up soon. I lit candles in one of the side chapels for Nana, Gilberto, Dad and April. I love doing that. I always tried to light candles in the churches we visited in Europe. There is something so comforting about it. The only way I can think to describe its that it kind of lights a candle in my heart. Sigh. Cheezy but accurate. I miss my husband. :( We'll see each other tonight.

Shawna MADE all her favor cookies on Wednesday!!! Crazy girl, that's totally amazing! Like 300 cookies! Uncle Pat brought us a box full of extra ones, so now I can bring some home to G. Very tasty.

Ok, I've done an entry and don't want to miss out on the visiting. More later.
