Blogging from La Quinta in Moline

So we drove up to Moline last night and stayed in this hotel and it has super nifty free hi-speed wi-fi. w00t!

I am totally exhausted and stressed out, but in a few hours I will be on a plane and I won't be able to do anything about anything but travel and maybe then I can let it all go! heh.

I'm sad because G already left to go to Atlanta. I think this will be the longest we've been apart since we were married. It feels all pathetic to say that, pout... And hello, it's only TWO nights, three-ish days. But there's still a little pinch in my heart. sigh. Plus, I want to see all his relatives again, and want him to see/meet mine. blah. Some other time soon I hope. Still need to get him out to the West Coast.

Work has been totally crazy. But good things are happening I think. We're going to do a secret santa and I'm excited about my person. yay!

I didn't get x-mas presents out for my gf's who are going to be in Seattle before I left. I talked to M and she said they were going to be there till the 27th, so it should probably be ok to send the stuff out regular mail on Monday. I'm pretty close I think, but it was the diff between staying up all night and getting a few hours of sleep, so I think I made the right choice. It's nice knowing they'll still love me. :) And I'm excited about the stuff I'm giving, I hope they like!

G's company did a really nice X-mas party at the French restaurant. They gave EVERYONE gifts! Spouses, kids and significant others! That was like 70 some presents, and the stuff was NICE. I got some pretty hurricane candle holders from the At Home Store. wow. I was really impressed with the whole party - AND I didn't even finish my food. :) So tasty but so filling.

I feel like I've been eating non-stop sweets for a week though. We got a gormet chocolate basket from a vendor at work and I wanted to try some of everything because it was all schmancy and special stuff. blech. All downhill from there. G's work gave him a gift basket too! So. much. nice. candy. arrrrrrgh!!! I'm going to explode. Sick.

Ok, my cell alarm just went off. Means I have to hit the showers. I bet my next blog entry will be from San Diego!!! Here's hoping there's wi-fi in the next hotel!

Oh, and we found out Nana has emphaziema (sp?!). They didn't think to look for it cuz she hasn't smoked in 6 years! yikes. but that's better than the clot they thought it might have been. phew.
