...by a small bird that got into our bedroom!
The bummer of it was, I was all sleepy and ready to drop into bed, and then I got all riled up and thus I'm here blogging. I was going to close the window that doesn't have a screen, and as I moved the curtain aside to do it, a small flurry of wings came towards me, over my head and landed in the corner by G's dresser as I stood shrieking in shock. G came running upstairs and after shining a flashlight to verify that it was a bird said "I don't know what to do now actually."
I thought maybe getting a towel to catch it in, to avoid scratches from beak or claws, even though it was so tiny. Poor guy was pretty freaked out! I got it once, brought it to the window but it flew back into the room and under the bed! Second time I actually tossed it a bit further out and it flew away. It seemed like maybe something wasn't quite right with it, maybe missing some wing feathers on one side? But if it could make its way up to the roof, I'm sure it could make it's way up to trees to hide out in. What's with me and my second story window animals these days?
