Tea and Puppies (and Funk on the local radio station)

I had some of my yummy tea from San Clemente today. It's called Kismet and it's an "Infusion of Fine Black Teas, Finest Green Oolong, Chamomile, Coconut, and Lavender."
Freakin' yum!

I really wanted to buy a looseleaf teapot last night during the ArtWalk, but the only Beehive one they had at the At Home store was white, which is totally boring (though practical, hrm.) And the bodum ones at Rev's kinda scare me - in that they might break too easily. Also it seems like the thin glass wouldn't keep the tea hot as long as ceramic. Although I DO like the idea of being able to see just how much tea is left... Sigh. Well, my mom's French press works just fine for the time being, and it's free to use that, so I'll keep pondering on teapots.

In the meantime I'm having fun wandering through the Lavender Lounge website and wishing we had a tea shop here in town:

Lavender Lounge Tea Company

Anyhoo, part of my urgency in finding a teapot is I'm looking forward to hosting a tea party sometime soon with the girls from work, now that I have both YUM tea and a big house. We went to L's house on Wednesday and it was totally fun! She lives in this sweet little farmhouse with funky vintage wallpaper and old black and white photos of her "great" relatives and their china and stuff. Pretty cool. And OMG she has the CUTEST Pomeranian puppy right now. She breeds them, and has 2 moms and a dad, and one puppy at the moment. He doesn't even look like a dog, and we spent the whole night trying to figure out exactly what he DID look like - a little bear, a little raccoon, a scrap of sheepskin with a wiggly tail... He's so fuzzy you can't see his feet from the top, so he may as well be on wheels with a little tail propeller. And I swear he sounds like a squeeky toy Sarah had, with kind of a creepy sqraaaauk to it. heh heh. tiny little bundle of love fuzz. And I think the cutest thing was Apple sproinging up excitedly to L's car as we pulled in. They love her so much, I don't see how she can ever leave them in the mornings!

It was funny, in the days leading up to the tea party, it somehow turned into this event called "Tea and Puppies", which is just fun to say, and also provided a fair amount of material for teasing and joking. heh. but I mean, come on - Tea and Puppies, there's just something so good about it!

Oh, and I've been having fun listening to the live KRUU FM feed on my computer. Yay for local radio! Right now is a Funk show hosted by Ed. It's neat to hear all these people I know on the radio, and get some variety into our on air music menu. Although I think they could seriously use some girl music on there. I've heard like 2 songs by women in the past 5 days. Not that I listen 24/7, but still... Having some little inklings of making a show myself?

ah hahaha! Ed is playing Flashlight right now, which is pretty much the song he used for us girls in high school to cut our teeth on Funk. Beautimous. I was like "Hey, I know this!"
