Hang on to yer butts!

Some DJ on the country station for Kansas City said that just before playing a song on my drive down there. It made me laugh for a long time.

Turns out Mikado was cancelled due to illness, so we COULD have had an improv performance tonight. but too late now to get anyone to come, not to mention ourselves. bummer. If Kevin had called us rather than email, but oh wells... I have an Entree staff party tonight anyway...

Art Walk was pretty cool, although I didn't get to see that much of it. I was late getting there because I spent too long trying to format the darn price list and then had to print out 20 copies... After dropping them off I went back home to take a shower, and then brought back some more price lists, since only 5 of them had been finished the first time, and then I had an hour to cruise... I of course had the chance to talk to lots of the people I emailed about the Student Art show, but nooooooooooo. Chicken-poop. yeah. Gillian Brown's installations were super cool. Brad Keene's nudes were - I haven't figured out how to describe them. I don't know if I'd say tasteful, but they weren't distasteful either... graphic and very well drawn. And the model (his girlfriend I assume) was right there with him, that was a little strange. I mean, obviously SHE's ok with it all, but I bet a lot of people just sorta breezed by there slightly embarrassed... I LOVED the metal work at Shilpi. Wish I had money. The "hand" candle holder was really, really cool... But I really think Emerald was one of the best shows. So much variety, in a cute space, good stuff. and it wouldn't have happened without me! So there!

yay for yoga! It makes me feel yummy!

After yoga I went to the square because Stacey had left me a message and wasn't answering her cell. She wasn't at the gallery so I decided to check out a few of the shops I didn't have time to look at last night. While I was at the MSAE store Stacey called and asked if I could open the Gallery at 1:00 because she was running late. I got some India Cafe food and went over there. about 8-10 people came in in just the first half hour I was there! Amazing. I hope we sell lots of stuff, it's gonna be a pain to ship back, no matter how many are left....

It's all dark and cold and icky outside. My car is dirty from being splashed over by every semi that passed by me on 34 while driving home... My room is a deesastor AGAIN! Stupid laundry. Always needing to be washed and put away. argh. Right when I'd gotten caught up. :P I thought I had this whole afternoon to do stuff, and here we are at quarter to five already and I've managed to mess around online since I got home. grr. Ok. Almost done. Just adding a few things more to my Amazon Wish list. And to anyone who happens to be reading this and gets some idea to get me something off my wish list or something for anyone else off of Amazon for that matter, one of my other wishes is that you will click through the peacestore (The button to get to Amazon is right at the top.) That way if you buy something, you'll also be contributing to world peace! yay.
