Pampered Chef Party!!!

Stacy and I went shopping to get ingredients for our Pampered Chef Party on Friday! We're going with an Asian theme to make it a little more fun. We wanted to make spring rolls, and a nice cucumber salad, but the cucumbers were $2.50 each, and we couldn't find rice paper anywhere! We were ok with re-thinking our starter, but a whole new main appetizer... eeps. Not to mention we bought all the stuff that goes inside. As we were nearing the square I had the brilliant idea to see if Noodle House would sell us some rice paper.

A slightly awkward conversation(neither of us were really comfortable asking or really knew exactly what we were asking for) and $4 later, we had rice paper! I am freakin' brilliant! Hooray! We're going to have tasty stuff! I hope people come who actually need stuff. We're at $100 dollars pre-sales, so we'll get at least a little something... I wish they had a press orange juicer, that's something I could really use... They have the twisty kind, but that's a lot more work. heh.

Anyway, I think it'll be really fun. I just have no idea who will show up. Most of the people at work have already been to one recently, and most of the other people I invited haven't RSVP'ed. A couple have. We'll see!

Colombia is coming up. Trying to get more Spanish under my belt. I'm really good at my CDROM, but I only do the easy part. Instant gratification! Not going to help me speak with the in-laws in any sort of meaningful way. :P I'm almost done with all the lessons, then I'm going to have to go back and do them all again with the other options, like only listening, or typing the answers.
