The Best Town in the World
Dar Williams came to do a concert in Heatherville once, and the band liked it so much they never left. Now every Saturday night, all the people who live in Heatherville put on their sticky, purple tank tops and walk their squirrel to the town square. Then they sit on the grass, listen to Dar Williams play folk music, and eat pizza bites.
No one has to go to school in Heatherville unless they want to. Of course, everybody wants to because Erin McKeown and Patrick Stewart are two of the teachers. Erin McKeown teaches English and Patrick Stewart teaches knitting.
One day Erin McKeown said to Patrick Stewart, “Maybe we should take the students on a field trip.”
“That's a gorgeous idea, Erin McKeown,” said Patrick Stewart. “Let's take them to the most fun place we can think of.”
“But that would be Heatherville,” said Erin McKeown.
“You're right!” Patrick Stewart exclaimed. “Call off the field trip! We're already here!”
Sounds like a freakin' good life to me! Wish I really HAD had them for teachers, and that Dar decided to live here. wow.
